Job summary

Kindred Hospital Melbourne and Acute Rehabilitation Unit (ARU) in Melbourne, FL, seeks a compassionate registered nurse to plan and deliver direct and indirect patient care using the nursing process. Develops care plans with patients, families and the team; participates in discharge planning.

The role requires RN licensure in the state, BLS at hire with ACLS preferred. You will supervise nursing staff, document care, educate patients and families, and engage in quality initiatives.

Qualifications

• Must be a registered nurse with state licensure.
• BLS certification required; ACLS preferred.
• Six months of Medical/Surgical nursing experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Directs, supervises, provides and evaluates nursing care for patients.
• Documents patient admission assessments and care plans in the medical record.
• Coordinates care with physicians, families and interdisciplinary staff.
• Assists with discharge planning and patient education.
