Kindred Hospital Melbourne and Acute Rehabilitation Unit (ARU) is a 58-bed hospital offering extended recovery care with 24-hour clinical support seven days a week. Located off NASA Boulevard on the outskirts of downtown Melbourne, we partner with physicians to promote wellness and a comfortable patient environment.

The Nursing Assistant role assists nursing staff, helps patients with daily living activities, and supports routine clinical tasks under RN supervision to ensure quality care and

Qualifications

• Must read, write and speak fluent English.
• Excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills.
• Basic computer knowledge and ability to organize tasks.
• Ability to work under stressful situations and maintain relationships.
• Minimum six months’ experience in acute or long-term care facility.

Responsibilities

• Assists professional nursing personnel in providing patient care in assigned area.
• Assists patients with activities of daily living and personal care.
• Takes vital signs and documents measurements timely and accurately.
• Prepares patient rooms and assists with admissions, transfers, and discharges.
• Responds to patient call lights and supports RN/LVN/LPN with treatments.
• Performs routine procedures under direction of nursing staff.
