Job summary

Kindred Hospital Melbourne and Acute Rehabilitation Unit (ARU) in Melbourne, FL, is seeking a qualified registered nurse to provide direct and indirect patient care using the nursing process. You will collaborate with physicians, supervisors, and the interdisciplinary team to deliver high-quality care throughout the shift.

The role requires RN licensure, BLS, ACLS preferred, six months of Medical/Surgical experience, and strong assessment, planning, and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Active RN license in Florida (or eligible for licensure by endorsement).
• Postsecondary nursing education completion required.
• Six months of Medical/Surgical nursing experience preferred.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) required; ACLS preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct and indirect patient care using the nursing process.
• Develop and implement individualized care plans with patient and family.
• Document care in the medical record accurately.
• Monitor patient status and report changes to physicians.
• Administer medications with attention to safety and rights.
• Participate in discharge planning and patient education.
