Job summary

Midwest Health, Inc. seeks a Transportation Driver to safely move residents to appointments and activities. You will maintain professional conduct, assist with wheelchair transfers, and follow all policies while delivering courteous service.

The role requires a CNA license in good standing, a high school diploma or GED, and the ability to operate a 16+ passenger vehicle with a current CDL if applicable. The position is on site at our Wichita facility.

Qualifications

• Must have a CNA license in good standing with the State.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Must have basic computer skills.
• Must have a current CDL to operate a 16+ passenger vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Comply with the Community’s personnel, safety and corporate policies and procedures.
• Comply with the nursing department’s policies and procedures.
• Report witnessed allegations of resident abuse/neglect immediately to the Executive Director.
• Treat residents, family members, visitors, and team members with dignity and respect.
• Maintain the confidentiality of all resident and family information.
• Report to work on time and as scheduled.
• Secure passengers’ wheelchairs to restraining devices to stabilize during transport.
• Assist residents in wheelchairs; assist disabled passengers into and out of vehicle.
• Time management; create routes that accommodate appointments and activities.
• Communicate with Executive Director and Nursing Department upon disruption of service.
• Clean and service vehicle with fuel.
• Report vehicle repairs and any unsafe or hazardous concerns to the Executive Director; assist CNA or Maintenance between appointments.
• Be on-call during scheduled days; replacement if unable to be on-call.
