Job summary

Heritage Wellness and Rehabilitation is seeking a dependable Resident Transportation Driver to transport residents to medical appointments and facilities. You will work closely with the nursing team to ensure safety, comfort, and timely transport, while maintaining resident privacy and dignity.

The role requires compassion, reliability, and strong communication. CNA or related certifications are preferred but not required, with opportunities to contribute to a compassionate healthcare team.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication with residents, families, nurses, physicians, and healthcare providers.
• Reliable and punctual, with a compassionate bedside manner.
• Comfortable assisting residents with mobility, transfers, and transportation.
• Knowledge of safety policies for resident transport and privacy.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and schedule resident transportation based on appointment times and resident needs.
• Safely transport residents to and from doctor appointments, hospitals, clinics, and other healthcare facilities.
• Develop daily driving schedules based on resident appointments.
• Assist residents with entry, exit, loading, unloading, and transportation.
• Observe residents for changes in condition and report to nurse or supervisor.
