Job summary

Midwest Health, Inc. is seeking a Transportation Driver to provide residents with safe, courteous transport to appointments and activities. You will follow the facility’s policies and coordinate with nursing staff to maintain on-time service.

The role requires a CNA license in good standing, a valid CPR certification, a current CDL for larger vehicles if applicable, and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds. You must be flexible for weekend, holiday coverage and on-call shifts, and maintain

Qualifications

• Must have a CNA license in good standing with the State.
• Must have a valid CPR certification.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Must have basic computer skills.
• Must be 21 years old to drive company vehicles.
• Must have a current CDL to operate a 16+ passenger vehicle.
• Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English.
• Must be able to work beyond normal hours and on weekends/holidays.

Responsibilities

• Provide resident transportation to and from appointments and activities.
• Comply with facility policies and procedures.
• Assist residents in wheelchairs and into/out of vehicles.
• Secure wheelchairs to restraints to ensure safety during transport.
• Maintain confidentiality of resident and family information.
• Report vehicle repairs and unsafe conditions to the Administrator.
• Be flexible for special occasions, holidays and weekends.
• Be on-call during scheduled days.
