Job summary

WeCare Centers in New Castle, PA is seeking a dedicated Transportation Aide to support residents, staff and volunteers by safely transporting individuals to designated locations. As a Transportation Aide you will report care information, drive the facility vehicle, and assist residents with transfers as needed, while maintaining a safe environment and professional interactions with the team.

Qualifications

Graduate of an accredited high school or GED.
Valid, unencumbered state driver's license.
1-2 years transportation experience preferred.
Previous long term care experience.
Must have experience transporting and transferring residents with physical impairments using facility equipment.

Responsibilities

Report all pertinent information concerning resident care to appropriate personnel.
Drive facility provided vehicle.
Transport residents, staff and volunteers to desired destinations.
Review daily rehabilitation schedule and be available as indicated.
Provide minimal assist of residents transferring to and from wheelchairs.
Ensures a safe environment.
