Job summary

WeCare Centers is seeking a Transportation Aide to support our residents, families, and staff in Wellsboro, PA. As part of the team, you will drive facility vehicles and transport residents and staff to scheduled destinations, while ensuring safety and proper transfer assistance.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, a valid driver’s license, and 1-2 years of transportation experience; familiarity with long-term care settings is preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited high school or GED.
• Valid, unencumbered state driver's license.
• 1-2 years transportation experience preferred.
• Experience transporting and transferring residents with physical impairments using facility equipment.

Responsibilities

• Report all pertinent information concerning resident care as detected to appropriate personnel.
• Drive facility provided vehicle.
• Transport residents, staff and volunteers to desired destinations.
• Review daily rehabilitation schedule and be available as indicated.
• Provide minimal assist of residents transferring to and from wheelchairs.
• Ensure a safe environment
