Job summary

Cura Health is seeking a dependable Resident Transport Driver to safely transport residents to medical appointments, dialysis, and other scheduled destinations while ensuring courteous, respectful assistance throughout the trip.

You will operate facility vehicles, assist residents with entering/exiting, secure mobility equipment, and communicate transportation needs with nursing staff. The role emphasizes safety, time management, and compassionate care.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Must possess a valid driver’s license and maintain an acceptable driving record.
• Experience transporting residents, patients, seniors, or individuals with disabilities is preferred but not required.
• CNA or other healthcare experience is a plus but not required.
• CPR/BLS certification preferred or willingness to obtain upon hire.
• Must be able to safely assist residents entering and exiting vehicles.
• Ability to safely secure wheelchairs, walkers, and other mobility equipment during transportation.
• Must be able to perform the physical requirements of the position.

Responsibilities

• Safely transport residents to medical appointments, dialysis, and other scheduled destinations.
• Assist residents with entering and exiting vehicles safely.
• Properly secure wheelchairs, walkers, and other mobility equipment.
• Coordinate transportation schedules with nursing staff and communicate delays or changes.
• Complete required vehicle safety checks and transportation documentation.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and fueled facility vehicle.
• Follow all traffic laws, safety procedures, and facility policies.
• Provide residents with compassionate, respectful, and professional assistance.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
