Job summary

Heritage Wellness and Rehabilitation is seeking a dependable Resident Transportation Driver to safely transport residents to medical appointments and facilities. You will work with nursing staff to ensure safety, comfort, and schedule adherence throughout transportation.

The role emphasizes assisting residents with mobility and transfers, maintaining privacy, and following facility policies. CNA/CPR/baseline certifications are preferred but not required.

Qualifications

• Valid driver's license—required.
• Clean driving record—preferred.
• CNA certification preferred but not required.
• Current BLS/CPR certification preferred.
• Experience in medical/resident transportation is a plus.
• Comfortable assisting residents with mobility and transfers.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and schedule resident transportation based on appointment times.
• Safely transport residents to and from doctor appointments, hospitals, and clinics.
• Develop daily driving schedules around resident appointments.
• Assist residents with entry, exit, loading, and transportation.
• Assist clinical staff with mobility transfers as directed.
• Report changes in resident condition to nursing staff.
