Job summary

The Ranch Estates of Tucson is seeking a Resident Care Assistant to provide compassionate, person-centered care to residents and support the wellness team. Roles involve assisting with activities of daily living, monitoring health changes, and ensuring a safe, respectful environment in a community setting.

You will work under the supervision of the Wellness Director and shift supervisor, contributing to a supportive, family-like atmosphere.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read, write, and speak English.
• Certification by a state-approved program, if required.
• Completion of Resident Assistant skills competency checklist.
• Be in good physical health; lifting, bending, and pushing a medication cart are required (up to 40 pounds).
• Experience in Assisted Living is preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Provide physical and psychosocial care to residents with dignity and individuality.
• Assist with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, hygiene, etc.).
• Maintain professional demeanor with residents and families.
• Observe and report changes in residents’ condition to Wellness Director or supervisor.
• Follow safety and infection control procedures and document services performed.
• Escort residents and coordinate internal transportation as needed.
