Job summary

Responsibilities

• Adheres to philosophy of dignity, privacy, independence and a home-like environment for Residents.
• Receives and gives report from the previous shift."
• Reviews assignments with Designated Supervisor.
• Reads staff communications and maintains familiarity with Resident records as required.
• Assists with orientation of new staff to job responsibilities.
• Assists with instrumental activities of daily living, ADL’s, environmental orientation, and independence.
• Assists with setting up, serving meals, and cleaning up afterwards.
• Provides services as indicated on Resident service plans, including bathing and toileting assistance, transfer and mobility.
• Maintains infection control procedures.
• Maintains clean, neat, safe environment for Residents, staff and visitors.
• Observes problems and communicates them appropriately.
• Observes changes in Resident status and communicates them appropriately.
• Follows all policies and procedures.
• Records Resident information as required.
• Assists with fire, life safety and emergency procedures.
• Assists with individual and group social recreational activities.
• Notifies nurse or designated agents of Resident status changes.
