Job summary

Optalis Healthcare is seeking a Resident Aide at the New Albany Care Center to support residents with daily tasks and comfort. The role involves non-clinical assistance, helping with meals and housekeeping, and responding to resident needs under supervision.

Ideal candidates will be at least 16 years old, able to read and write in English, and have or obtain a First Aid Certification within 60 days of hire.

Qualifications

• Reads and writes in English.
• Must be at least 16 years old.
• First Aid Certification or obtain by 60 days after hire.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with non-care tasks and mobility.
• Support dining services by passing trays and stocking carts.
• Make beds, redistribute linens and restock room supplies.
• Respond to call lights and notify nursing staff as needed.
• Promote resident rights, dignity and independence.
• Follow infection control and safety protocols.
• Provide compassionate, resident-centered care.
• Assist with daily activities and respond to emergencies as needed.
• Demonstrate strong observation and communication with residents and team.
• Work collaboratively with team and stay flexible.
