Job summary

Optalis Healthcare's New Albany Care Center in New Albany, OH is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to provide nursing and related services to residents according to each resident's plan of care. The CNA will assist with activities of daily living and maintain a homelike, safe environment that supports resident rights and independence.

The role requires completion of a state-approved nurse aide training and competency evaluation, with prior health-care experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Must have a high school diploma or GED.
• Successful completion of a state-approved nurse aide training and competency evaluation program.
• Verified registration with the State Nurse Aide Registry.
• Prior health-care experience with residents is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs basic patient care duties such as bathing, feeding and assisting with activities of daily living and designated tasks.
• Makes occupied and unoccupied beds; maintains an orderly environment; distributes nourishments.
• Maintains residents' personal and oral hygiene.
• Provides direct care to residents according to the care plan.
• Documents and revises the resident's FYI record and informs Unit Charge Nurse of conditions and responses.
• Follows infection control policies and uses PPE; adheres to Universal Precautions.
• Responds to changes in residents' conditions and tasks as assigned.
• Maintains confidentiality and demonstrates integrity.
