Job summary

EverTrue is seeking compassionate care staff to provide supportive and functional care to residents, guiding them to maintain control of their own care within an interdisciplinary team. You will perform routine daily living activities and document observations in accordance with policies.

The role emphasizes safety, timely assistance, and collaboration with nursing leadership to ensure residents receive quality care and advocacy.

Qualifications

• Previous resident/patient care experience preferred.
• If working in PA, a High School diploma, GED, or active registry status on the PA state nurse aide registry is required.
• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos; Ability to write simple correspondence.
• Ability to effectively present information one-on-one and in small groups.
• Basic computer skills, limited to data retrieval and entry.
• Must possess the ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action.
• Must have patience and be willing and able to demonstrate professional behavior with residents and families.

Responsibilities

• Supports residents in attaining and/or maintaining their highest practicable level of functioning by providing and/or assisting residents with personal care and performance of all routine activities of daily living.
• Provides care and services in accordance to current standards of practice as defined by training standards and EverTrue policies.
• Maintains the appropriate resident care environment and responds to resident requests for assistance in a timely manner.
• Follows all safety procedures and protocol as dictated by EverTrue policy and regulations; reports hazards or incidents to nursing leadership.
• Performs and provides proper resident observations and record keeping; acts as advocate and communicates changes to the nursing leader.
• May assist and escort residents to/from dining room and activities; monitor residents in dining room during meals.
• May be assigned to document residents’ vital signs including blood pressure, temperature, respiration, weight checks, and other pertinent information.
• In PA, may be assigned as administrator designee in absence of Personal Care Administrator; evaluates circumstances and contacts authority.
