Job summary

Legend Senior Living is seeking a dedicated Caregiver/Resident Assistant to join our nursing team. You will support residents with daily living activities, personal care, grooming, and meals, helping to maintain their comfort and dignity in a compassionate setting.

The role involves monitoring residents, documenting care activities, and coordinating with Health Care staff. A drug-free workplace and flexible shifts including evenings and weekends may be required.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a similar role preferred.
• Ability to assist residents with activities of daily living.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist with daily resident care including personal care, grooming, hygiene, housekeeping, laundering, social interactions and meals.
• Monitor residents' physical and emotional comfort and respond as needed.
• Document completed tasks such as daily shift reports, resident records and negotiated service agreements.
• Communicate clearly and confidentially with other staff (e.g., urgent needs for the next shift, concerns to Health Care Director).
• Demonstrate ability to manage assigned tasks within the scheduled shift.
