Job summary

Harmony Senior Services in Suffolk, Virginia is seeking a compassionate Resident Assistant/Personal Care Aide (PCA) to provide quality care and assist residents with daily living activities, mobility, and meals.

You will respond to calls and emergencies calmly, assist with move-ins, and coordinate with the nursing team to ensure safety, cleanliness, and confidentiality in all resident interactions.

Qualifications

• Must have a High School Diploma or GED.
• Must be able to effectively communicate verbally and in writing.
• CPR/First Aid certification required or willingness to obtain within 60 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with activities of daily living, mobility, and meals.
• Respond to resident calls and emergencies promptly and calmly.
• Maintain confidentiality and report status to appropriate staff.
• Assist in move-in transitions and provide emotional support to new residents.
• Plan and participate in activity programs for residents.
• Follow policies and procedures and work with nursing staff as a team.
