Job summary

GOEBEL FIXTURE COMPANY is seeking a Resident Assistant / Caregiver to provide quality care to residents in line with the residence philosophy. You will assist with activities of daily living, monitor resident conditions, and respond to calls promptly.

This role requires CPR and First Aid, a high school diploma or equivalent, and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds. You may work nights, weekends, and holidays as scheduled, with emphasis on resident dignity and safety.

Qualifications

• Current CBRF certifications are REQUIRED (CBRF certifications include Medication Administration, Fire Safety, First Aid & Choking, and Standard Precautions)
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain upon hire)

Responsibilities

• Provide quality care and assistance to residents in accordance with the residence philosophy and policies
• Assist residents with physical, emotional, and spiritual needs
• Adhere to each resident's service plan and notify supervisor of changes
• Respond promptly to resident calls
• Assist with activities of daily living and instrumental activities of daily living
• Check on residents every two hours and document findings
• Assist with meals, observe changes in appetite and abilities, and help in dining areas
• Assist with cleaning, laundry, and tidying residents' rooms
• Establish and maintain good relationships with residents and families
• Practice safe body mechanics and follow safety guidelines
• Respond to resident emergencies according to policy
