Job summary

Qualifications

• Ability to communicate effectively with residents, families, staff, vendors and the general public.
• Must have compassion for and desire to work with the elderly.
• Ability to work responsibly as a team member as well as independently.
• Must be honest, ethical, fair, dependable and respect confidentiality.
• Must meet health requirements and pass criminal background check.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, mobility).
• Keep proper care records and complete required forms.
• Report changes in resident condition to supervisor promptly.
• Monitor vital signs as directed by policy or provider’s order.
• Follow safety, infection control policies and report any breaches.
• Provide courteous, professional care and support to residents and families.
