Job summary

Valley Health is seeking a Registered Nurse I to provide comprehensive nursing care, including assessment, planning, and evaluation, while leading patient education and care coordination. The role emphasizes teamwork, quality communication, and adherence to professional standards in a hospital setting.

Required RN licensure and an Associates degree with BSN preferred; AHA BLS, and state licensure requirements apply. On-site first shift with competitive pay and benefits.

Qualifications

• Competent to provide care based on the cognitive, physical, emotional and chronological stages of human growth and development.
• Competent to provide care to patients utilizing the nursing process.
• Must have a reliable means of phone communication with hospital.
• RNA starting employment must secure Eligibility to Test Letter or interim verification from VH Nurse Recruitment.

Responsibilities

• Carry out nursing process: assessment, diagnosis, outcomes identification, planning, evaluation, documentation and time management.
• Maintain quality communication, teamwork and leadership/professionalism.
• Direct, coordinate and implement patient teaching and quality/safety initiatives.
• Coordinate activities of other health team personnel while maintaining standards of professional nursing.
