Job summary

Elderwood Village at Colonie in Latham, NY is seeking a compassionate Resident Care Aide (RCA). You will provide personal care and daily living assistance to residents, helping them maintain independence with dignity in a 94-bed assisted living setting.

Under the supervision of a licensed nurse, you will deliver respectful care, communicate with residents and families, and participate in comprehensive training, orientation, and teamwork that supports a supportive environment for both residents

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• RCA training on Relias with 22 modules and passing post tests within 21 days.
• Completion of 40 hours orientation and RCA Competency before working independently.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with Daily Living Activities such as grooming, eating, bathing and dressing.
• Assist with mobility and transfers using safe patient handling.
• Respond promptly to residents' requests and follow care plans.
• Document duties and communicate with nurse as necessary.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and resident-centered environment.
• Participate in in-service trainings, meetings, and quality improvement efforts.
