Job summary

Inspirations of Mount Washington is hiring Resident Care Assistants (RCA) to provide compassionate physical and psychosocial care to residents. The role reports to the shift supervisor and Wellness Director, with duties spanning daily living assistance, safety, and collaborative care in a welcoming community.

The RCA role requires English proficiency, ability to lift 40 lbs, and health clearances; prior Assisted Living experience is preferred and background checks are required.

Qualifications

• Ability to read, write, and speak English.
• Be in good physical health and free of communicable diseases.
• Must be able to lift 40 pounds.
• Experience in Assisted Living preferred.
• Completion of drug testing and criminal background check upon hire and upon request of supervisor.

Responsibilities

• Provide physical and psychosocial care to all residents, promoting dignity and individuality.
• Assist residents with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, grooming, mobility).
• Maintain professional demeanor when interacting with residents and families.
• Report suspected or observed abuse to licensed staff immediately.
• Utilize safe transfer techniques and assist with mobility.
• Document provision of services on company forms.
• Escort residents and coordinate internal transportation needs.
• Assist with personal correspondence and telephone use as requested.
• Respond promptly to emergencies and report to supervisor.
• Follow up on reported complaints or concerns.
