Job summary

Elderwood Village at Colonie in Latham, NY is seeking a Resident Care Aide (RCA). You will provide compassionate personal care and daily living assistance under a licensed nurse, helping residents maintain independence and quality of life.

Qualifications

• Eighteen (18) years of age required; high school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Completion of Resident Care Assistant (RCA) training on Relias with 22 modules and 80% minimum on post tests within 21 days from start date.
• Completion of 40 hours orientation with RCA Competency before working solo; Relias modules continue concurrently.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with Daily Living Activities such as meals, grooming, and dressing.
• Move and transfer residents and assist with wheelchair transport as needed.
• Apply PPE and respond promptly to resident requests; follow care plans and document duties.
