Job summary

Wellstar is seeking a Radiologic Technologist to perform a wide range of Diagnostic Imaging procedures for patients of all ages under the supervision of a Radiologist or Manager.

The role emphasizes adherence to ALARA principles, patient safety, and top-tier patient care within Wellstar Health System in Georgia. The position requires ARRT-R, BLS credentials, and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• Accredited Radiologic Technology program required.
• Strong communication and patient service focus essential.
• Knowledge of ALARA and safety protocols encouraged.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates sound knowledge in the performance of Diagnostic Imaging while adhering to department protocol and standards and applies the principles of ALARA to minimize exposure to patients, self and others.
• Performs Diagnostic Imaging exams in a variety of settings. Evaluates images for technical quality, performs post processing of data and ensures proper Patient identification is recorded.
• Provides optimal patient care and assumes responsibility for the patient's needs during their procedures and exemplifies the philosophy of Patient Family Centered care to all.
• Applies the principles of patient safety during all aspects of patient care and identifies and responds to emergency situations in an appropriate manner.
• Strictly adheres to the principles of aseptic technique and hand washing policies.
• Assists the Radiologist with procedures and protocols.
• Other duties as assigned.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
