Job summary

Brickyard Healthcare is seeking a Qualified Medication Aide (QMA) to provide safe, compassionate care to residents in our care centers in Indiana. The role requires active QMA and CNA certifications and a clean registry with no abuse or neglect findings.

You will collaborate with licensed nurses to administer medications, assist with daily living activities, support recreation programs, and follow care plans while adhering to safety and infection control policies. Equal opportunity employer.

Qualifications

• Must be certified as a Qualified Medication Aide (QMA) by the state and must also be a Certified Nursing Assistant in good standing with the state.
• Must have no finding in the registry concerning abuse, neglect, or misappropriation of resident property.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, administer, and document medications under the direction and supervision of a Licensed Nurse.
• Assist residents with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, changing of bed linens, and positioning.
• Assist with resident recreation programs.
• Read and follow daily care plans; perform restorative procedures; report changes to the Nurse in charge; document care on resident records.
• Assist in admission, transfer, and discharge of residents.
• Comply with safety and infection control procedures including use of lifts, gait belts and PPE.
• Promote residents' rights and professional appearance; interact with residents, visitors, and regulators.
• Attend training, in-service sessions, and staff meetings; assist in orientation and training of other staff.
• Participate in Quality Improvement activities as assigned; perform other duties as needed.
