Job summary

Sage Creek Post-Acute in Las Vegas, NV seeks a Staff Physical Therapist Assistant to support the Staff Therapist in direct patient care and treatment planning.

This position requires licensed PTA, proficiency with Casamba and Point Click Care, and the ability to communicate progress to the health team and families. You will document notes, participate in conferences, assist with training of Restorative Aides, and help maintain a safe, organized treatment area.

Qualifications

• Licensed as a Staff Physical Therapy Assistant in the state.
• Proficient in electronic health records and data entry (Casamba, Point Click Care).
• Ability to read and interpret technical procedures and manuals.

Responsibilities

• Treat patients as directed by Physical Therapist.
• Record daily treatment notes and weekly progress notes.
• Participate in patient care and rehabilitation conferences.
• Assist with cleaning and maintenance of treatment area.
• Treat patients per the physician treatment plan.
• Assist nursing department with training of Restorative Aides.
• Communicate with supervisor and other health team members regarding patient progress, problem and plans.
• Participate in in-services training program for other staff in the facility.
• Record treatment changes per policy and procedures.
• Instruct patient's families or nursing staff in maintenance program and caregiver training in preparation for discharge from therapy services.
• Report any problems with department equipment so that it is maintained in good working order.
• Ability to relate positively, effectively, and appropriately with patients/residents, families, staff and professional colleagues.
