Job summary

PACS is revolutionizing the delivery and leadership of post-acute healthcare and support services across the country. We seek a Staff Occupational Therapist Assistant to assist the Occupational Therapist with patient care and recordkeeping in a Las Vegas, NV facility.

Licensed OTA with proficiency in Casamba and Point Click Care will help implement treatment plans, educate families, and participate in discharge planning while complying with state practice acts and payer requirements.

Qualifications

• Licensed as a Staff Occupational Therapy Assistant in the state.
• Proficient in computer data entry for treatment records.

Responsibilities

• Treat patients as directed by the Occupational Therapist.
• Record daily treatment notes and weekly progress notes per OT Board.
• Treat patients per the physician treatment plan.
• Assist nursing department with training of Restorative Aides.
• Communicate with supervisor and health team regarding patient progress, problems and plans.
• Participate in in-services training for staff.
• Record evaluations and documentation per government and payer requirements.
• Instruct families or nursing staff in maintenance and caregiver training for discharge from therapy services.
• Participate in discharge planning.
• Assist with cleaning and maintenance of treatment area.
• Report problems with department equipment.
