Job summary

Methodist Retirement Communities (MRC) in League City, TX is seeking a Licensed Physical Therapist (PRN) to help older adults restore function, manage pain, and remain engaged in daily moments that matter. You will develop individualized therapy plans aligned with residents’ goals, safety, and independence.

The role emphasizes evidence-based treatment, collaboration with the care team, and accurate documentation to support transitions after therapy ends.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited physical therapy program.
• Current, unrestricted Physical Therapist license in the state of Texas.
• Two to three years of experience in skilled nursing, senior living, or a related setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate residents’ mobility, strength, balance, motor function, sensory perception, functional capacity, and overall therapy needs.
• Develop individualized plans of care with meaningful, measurable short- and long-term goals.
• Provide evidence-based treatment using therapeutic exercise, manual techniques, functional activities, and appropriate equipment.
• Monitor each resident’s response to treatment and adjust interventions to achieve the greatest possible benefit.
• Collaborate with physicians, nursing, rehabilitation team members, residents, families, and caregivers to coordinate care.
• Recommend supportive, orthotic, or prosthetic devices and provide education on safe use when appropriate.
• Document evaluations, treatment, progress, and discharge recommendations accurately and on time.
• Create a thoughtful transition plan that supports continued success after therapy services end.
