We are seeking a compassionate and motivated Physical Therapist Assistant to provide quality rehabilitation services to our residents under the direction and supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist. The PTA will assist with implementing individualized treatment plans designed to improve residents' mobility, strength, balance, and functional independence.
Responsibilities:
Provide physical therapy treatments according to established treatment plans
Assist residents with therapeutic exercises and functional mobility activities
Help residents improve strength, balance, coordination, range of motion, and mobility
Monitor residents' responses to treatment and report changes to the Physical Therapist
Document treatments, resident progress, and other required information accurately
Educate residents and caregivers on exercises, mobility techniques, and safety measures
Communicate with nursing staff, Physical Therapists, and other members of the interdisciplinary team
Maintain a safe and clean therapy environment
Follow facility policies, regulatory requirements, and professional standards
Qualifications:
Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program
Current Physical Therapist Assistant license or certification as required by the state
Previous experience in a skilled nursing, long-term care, rehabilitation, or healthcare setting preferred
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Compassionate and patient-focused approach to resident care
Ability to work independently while following the direction of the Physical Therapist
Must maintain required licensure and certifications
