Qualifications

• Current, licensed, registered, or certified to assist in the practice of physical therapy in state of practice
• Available to work a weekend rotation
• Current CPR certification or ability to complete within 90 days of hire (preferred)
• Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting, transferring, and assisting with mobility (preferred)

Responsibilities

• Follow state-specific laws governing home care physical therapy and adhere to the supervising PT's plan of care
• Instructs and aids patients in active and passive exercise, gait, transfer, ADL, and prosthetic training
• Observe, record, and report patient responses and changes to the supervising PT and care team
• Educate patient, family, and health-care team on therapy within the PT assistant scope
• Function effectively in diverse home settings and patient populations
