The position requires knowledge of Medicare guidelines, proper documentation on requisitions, and maintaining a clean work area. Training and close collaboration with staff are expected.

Responsibilities

• Perform phlebotomy professionally and compassionately for patients.
• Maintain a clean, safe environment and proper disposal of specimens per policy.
• Ensure requisitions include patient info, diagnoses, and insurance details.
• Review ABN requirements for Medicare orders and complete forms as needed.
• Complete MSP forms when required and collect all specimens for lab orders.
• Provide clear information to clients about test orders and sample collection.
• Keep the draw station stocked and organized daily.
• Report performance issues and schedule to supervisor.
