Job summary

Qualifications

• Certified or certified eligible with National Phlebotomy Association preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs phlebotomy (venipuncture, fingerstick, heelstick) according to established procedure.
• Identifies patients and labels specimen tubes correctly.
• Determines priority of STAT draws and ensures timely transport to the lab.
• Uses computers for order entry, NCC lists, and specimen processing.
• Maintains organized work area and completes workload statistics.

Education

High school diploma or equivalent

One year of full-time work experience (preferred)

National Phlebotomy Association certification (preferred)
