Job summary

Atlantic Health is seeking a Phlebotomist to support specimen collection, labeling and handling at one of its New Jersey facilities. You will ensure accurate orders, maintain patient comfort, and assist with training while following PRIDE and AIDET models to provide exceptional care.

The role emphasizes accuracy, teamwork, and safety in a fast-paced clinical environment with responsibilities spanning specimen processing and equipment operation. Experience preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Phlebotomy certification from an accredited program preferred.
• ASCP/NHA/NPA certification preferred.
• Foreign credentials require US equivalency documentation.

Responsibilities

• Accurately collects specimens and labels samples per SOPs.
• Uses HIS/LIS for patient registration and test orders.
• Ensures proper specimen processing and defect correction.
• Operates and maintains technical equipment per SOPs.
• Assists with training team members and students.
• Delivers compassionate, patient-centered care during procedures.
• Adheres to safety procedures and inventory management.
