Illinois CancerCare is seeking a dedicated full-time Phlebotomist in Bloomington, IL to join our clinical team. The role follows a Monday–Friday schedule with no weekends, offering a supportive work‑life balance and comprehensive benefits.

You will perform phlebotomy, maintain documentation, manage supplies, and coordinate with reference labs while ensuring patient safety and dignity. Ideal candidates have a High School Diploma, at least one year of phlebotomy experience, and preferred ASCP

Qualifikationen

• High School Diploma required.
• One year of phlebotomy experience.
• ASCP or other approved professional association certification preferred.
• Basic Life Support (BLS)/CPR certification preferred.

Aufgaben

• Performs phlebotomy and collects specimens from patients as ordered.
• Maintains proper documentation per QA program, including logs and checklists.
• Maintains inventory of supplies and ensures viability of materials.
• Sends specimens to reference laboratories for tests not performed in house.
• Processes incoming orders for lab testing and reports.
• Properly identifies patients for blood product transfusion and ensures proper labeling.
• Travel to outside clinics as needed.
• Performs all other duties as requested or required.
