Job summary

Interpath Laboratory, Inc. is seeking an experienced Phlebotomist/Processor for a busy one-person site in Washington. The role emphasizes compassionate patient care, efficient venipuncture, and accurate data handling.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Washington MA-P phlebotomy certification (MA-P) required.
• Previous on-the-job phlebotomy experience is required.

Responsibilities

• Administrative duties: Providing excellent customer service, answering phones, and monitoring instrumentation alarms.
• Technical: Performing venipuncture for blood collection and preparing samples for lab testing and screening.
• Accurate data management: Verifying specimen information and data entry.
• Specimen handling: Receiving, processing, and packaging samples for referral labs while maintaining specimen integrity.
• Compliance: Following safety protocols, HIPAA policies, and Medicare rules.
• Flexibility: Covering shifts at different sites as needed.
• Reliability: Maintaining punctual attendance and continuity of operations.
