Job summary

Rocky Mountain Cancer Centers in Longmont is seeking an experienced Phlebotomist to collect blood specimens, ensure patient comfort, and maintain accurate records in a fast-paced clinical lab.

The role emphasizes strong customer service, attention to safety, regulatory compliance, and teamwork with lab and nursing staff. Salary ranges from $19.50 to $23.00 per hour, with benefits including health, dental, vision, and retirement plans.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years experience in phlebotomy.
• High school diploma or equivalent recommended.
• Licensure from an accredited school of phlebotomy recommended.

Responsibilities

• Performs phlebotomy and collects specimens from patients as ordered.
• Maintains proper documentation and QA records.
• Ensures adequate inventory and viable supplies.
• Sends specimens to reference labs for tests not done in house.
• Processes orders and lab reports, updates paperwork and logs.
• Properly identifies patients and labels specimens per policy.
• Operates lab equipment and maintains work area.
• Performs waived lab testing under CLIA guidelines.
• Complies with OSHA and universal precautions.
• Maintains confidentiality of patient and staff information.
