Job summary

Rocky Mountain Cancer Centers in Longmont, CO is seeking an experienced phlebotomist to join our team. You will collect blood specimens, ensure patient comfort, and maintain accurate records in a fast-paced clinical setting.

Requires 3–5 years of phlebotomy experience, a high school diploma, and licensure from an accredited school of phlebotomy is recommended. Salary ranges from $19.50 to $23.00 per hour, with comprehensive benefits including health, dental, vision, 401(k) and more.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years phlebotomy experience.
• High school diploma or equivalent recommended.
• Licensure from an accredited school of phlebotomy recommended.

Responsibilities

• Performs phlebotomy and collects specimens as ordered; ensures proper consent where required.
• Maintains accurate documentation in QA records, logs, and checklists.
• Manages inventory of supplies and verifies viability before use.
• Sends specimens to reference labs for tests not done in-house.
• Processes orders and in-house/outgoing reports; maintains daily paperwork.
• Properly identifies and bands patients for blood product transfusion; labels specimens per policy.
• Operates designated lab equipment and keeps work area clean and organized.
• Complies with OSHA and universal precautions; disposes of hazardous materials properly.
• Maintains confidentiality of patient and staff information.
