Rocky Mountain Cancer Centers in Longmont is seeking an experienced Phlebotomist to collect blood specimens, ensure patient comfort, and maintain accurate records. The role requires strong attention to safety standards and customer service, with the team focused on high-quality cancer care.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years phlebotomy experience.
• High school diploma or equivalent recommended.
• Licensure from an accredited school of phlebotomy recommended.

Responsibilities

• Performs phlebotomy and collects specimens as ordered and ensures appropriate consent.
• Maintains documentation and logs per QA program.
• Maintains inventory and ensures specimen viability.
• Sends specimens to reference labs for testing.
• Processes lab orders and reports; updates daily paperwork and logs.
• Properly identifies patients for transfusion and processes labeled specimens.
• Operates designated lab equipment and maintains work area.
• Performs waived lab testing under CLIA guidelines and records controls.
