Job summary

Greenbrier of Fairmont is seeking a dedicated Personal Care Assistant to provide direct care and support to residents, assisting with daily living activities and promoting independence in a safe environment.

The role requires empathy, attention to detail, and teamwork to ensure residents’ dignity and well-being. A HS diploma is preferred, with CNA/PCA training encouraged and at least 1 year of relevant experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Completion of a state-approved PCA, CNA, or caregiver training program preferred.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in personal care, senior living, or healthcare preferred.

Responsibilities

• Personal Care Support: assist residents with ADLs (bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, mobility).
• Health Monitoring: observe and report health changes; assist with medication reminders.
• Resident Engagement: build relationships and encourage participation in activities and events.
• Safety & Compliance: keep living areas clean and safe; follow infection control protocols; respond to emergencies.
