Job summary

Langdon Place of Exeter is hiring Personal Care Assistants (PCAs) to support residents' comfort, independence, and quality of life. You will perform nonclinical tasks such as meal and hydration assistance, companionship, environmental support, transportation, and communicating resident needs to certified nursing staff.

Full- and part-time shifts are available with weekday and every-other-weekend options. A high school diploma is required, and healthcare, senior-living, or personal-care

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Compassion, patience, and a genuine interest in supporting residents.
• Strong listening and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a healthcare team.
• Ability to recognize and report changes in a resident's condition.
• Healthcare, senior-living, or personal-care experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support LNAs and nursing personnel with nonclinical responsibilities.
• Deliver meals, fluids, and snacks within the PCA role.
• Help set up and clean dining areas.
• Support a clean and organized resident environment.
• Make beds and help organize resident belongings.
• Stock clean linens and supplies and transport soiled items appropriately.
• Respond to call lights and communicate resident needs to certified nursing personnel.
• Provide companionship through conversation, games, reading, and activities.
• Help residents access activities, technology, mail, and other daily supports.
• Report resident concerns, refusals, or observed changes promptly.
• Protect resident dignity, privacy, confidentiality, and rights.
