Job summary

Parsons Residential seeks a dedicated Personal Care Assistant (PCA) to support residents with daily living activities, promote independence, and ensure a safe, compassionate environment.

The PCA will assist with ADLs, monitor health, encourage engagement in activities, and follow infection control protocols. Education includes a high school diploma or GED with PCA/CNA training preferred; 1 year of relevant experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Completion of a state-approved PCA, CNA, or caregiver training program preferred.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in personal care, senior living, or healthcare preferred.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Compassionate, patient, and attentive to residents' needs.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with ADLs including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility.
• Support residents with meal preparation, feeding assistance, and hydration.
• Help residents maintain personal hygiene and comfort.
• Observe and report changes in health, behavior, and physical condition to the nursing team.
• Assist with medication reminders and monitor for adverse reactions.
• Foster positive relationships with residents through companionship and engagement.
• Ensure living areas are clean, safe, and compliant with infection control protocols.
