Job summary

McKendree Senior Living in Memphis, TN is seeking a Personal Care Assistant (PCA) to join the assisted living team. You will help residents with daily living activities, mobility, meals, and companionship in a caring, professional environment.

Ideal candidates bring caregiving or healthcare experience, a compassionate attitude, and solid communication skills to work well with staff and residents while following care plans and safety policies.

Qualifications

• Previous caregiving or healthcare experience preferred.
• CNA certification is a plus, but not required.
• Compassionate, patient, and dependable attitude.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Must be able to pass background screening and meet state requirements.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
• Support residents with mobility, transfers, and ambulation.
• Assist with meal service and feeding when needed.
• Monitor and report changes in residents’ condition to nursing staff.
• Provide companionship and emotional support to residents.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable environment.
• Follow care plans and facility policies/procedures.
• Document care provided accurately and timely.
