Job summary

Responsibilities include aiding with toileting, mobility, bathing, dressing, and meals, responding to resident needs, and maintaining safety and dignity. A CNA/PCA certificate is required within 6 months; lifting up to 50 pounds is expected; training and documentation are part of the role.

Qualifications

• Must have or obtain CNA or Personal Care Aide Certificate (80-Hour) within 6 months of hire.
• Must be able to read, write, understand and follow directions.
• Must possess good written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide assistance to residents with activities of daily living per Care Plan (toileting, ambulation, eating, transferring, bathing, dressing, personal hygiene, etc.).
• Assist residents with daily living activities to maximize independence and mobility.
• Respond to hand bells or signaling calls and provide personal care as trained.
• Assist residents with transportation when indicated and support Activities Coordinator with planned activities.
• Maintain clothes in order and help with bed making and hygiene.
• Provide resident equipment care and read and follow policies; document changes in condition.
