Job summary

Harmony Senior Services in Mechanicsburg, PA is seeking a dedicated Personal Care Aide to support residents with daily living activities and provide compassionate care. Responsibilities include assisting with daily routines, housekeeping, and responding to resident needs.

The role requires effective communication, reliability, and the ability to work as part of a nursing team. CPR/First Aid certification or willingness to obtain within 60 days is required.

Qualifications

• Must have a High School Diploma or GED.
• Must have completed approved personal care aide program per state regulations as applicable.
• Must be able to effectively communicate verbally and in-writing.
• Must be organized and able to work well with all levels of personnel.
• Must be a contributing member of nursing team and follow instruction of supervisor.

Responsibilities

• Reports incidents involving residents to include care concerns to appropriate individuals.
• Assists residents with activities of daily living.
• Performs housekeeping duties as directed.
• Responds promptly to resident calls or emergency alerts.
• Assists in planning and conducting activity programs for residents.
• Follows confidentiality policies regarding release of resident information.
• Assists residents to and from dining room and activities.
• Checks on residents, reports status or concerns to appropriate individuals.
• Communicates resident status and upcoming information to relevant staff.
• Assists new residents with move-in transition and emotional support.
