Job summary

Harris Health seeks a Patient Care Assistant II to support patient care activities under the supervision of a registered nurse on inpatient units. You will work closely with the charge nurse and staff nurses to ensure patient needs are met and safety is maintained.

You will perform basic care tasks, use medical terminology daily, and apply computer and documentation skills. Two years of related clinical experience and relevant certifications are preferred.

Qualifications

• Education: High School diploma or GED plus specialty training.
• Two years related clinical experience.
• Basic Life Support certification.
• Aggression Management certification within 90 days of hire.
• EKG and/or Phlebotomy competency within 6 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Support patient care activities under the supervision of a registered nurse on inpatient nursing units.
• Collaborate with the charge nurse and staff nurses to meet patient care needs.
• Demonstrate personal and professional effectiveness.
• Perform basic patient care activities and use medical terminology, communication, organizational, and computer skills.
