Job summary

Harris Health seeks a Patient Care Assistant II to support inpatient care under the supervision of a registered nurse. You will perform delegated tasks, communicate with the care team, and help ensure patient safety and comfort in a busy hospital setting.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, BLS certification, two years of related clinical experience, and strong communication and computer skills.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED plus technical skills/training appropriate to the specialty area.
• Certification as CNA/CMA or EMT-B; nursing students exempt if first clinical course completed.
• BLS from an AHA-approved program.
• Aggression Management certification within 90 days of hire.
• EKG and/or Phlebotomy competency validation within 6 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Supports patient care activities under the supervision of a registered nurse on inpatient units.
• Collaborates with the charge nurse and staff nurses to ensure patient care needs are met.
• Performs delegated patient care activities and adheres to safety measures.
• Demonstrates personal and professional effectiveness in daily tasks.
