Job summary

Americare Senior Living is seeking a compassionate Personal Care Attendant (PCA) to support residents in a warm, home-like environment in Springfield, IL. The role involves direct care, dignity, and teamwork with caregivers and nursing staff to ensure quality daily living.

The position offers full-time hours, competitive pay ($16.00–$16.50/hour), and benefits, with additional training opportunities and a supportive culture focused on resident-centered care.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old and have a high school diploma or equivalent.
• CPR and BLS certifications are a plus and training is available.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility.
• Provide compassionate physical and emotional support while preserving resident dignity.
• Monitor resident safety and observe signs of distress or changes in condition.
• Accurately document resident care and changes; communicate with nursing staff and fellow caregivers.
• Engage residents in activities that promote physical, emotional, and social well-being.
