Job summary

Interim HealthCare Inc. in the Dothan area is seeking a Personal Care Aide (PCA)/Caregiver to support seniors at home, delivering personal care and companionship. You will work one-on-one with clients to help with daily activities and wellness in a home setting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent and active Home Care Aide (HCA) experience.
• Six months of healthcare experience preferred.
• CPR certification optional.
• Covid-19 vaccination card optional.
• Valid driver’s license, auto insurance and transportation.
• Compassionate and helping nature, good communicator, able to lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care and support seniors need to live safely at home.
• Assist with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, grooming, light housekeeping, meal prep, shopping, transportation and companionship.
• Help with ambulation, transferring and range of motion exercises.
• Provide medication reminders, document condition and notify a supervisor of concerns.
• Ensure a safe home environment with unobstructed pathways.
• Participate in activities that bring clients joy such as puzzles, games, reading and hobbies.
