Qualifications

• 0-1 years of experience in healthcare or patient support.
• BCLS (Basic Life Support) by end of orientation.
• Basic knowledge of patient transport safety techniques and infection control.
• Ability to lift, move, and assist patients in a fast-paced setting.

Responsibilities

• Transports patients safely between departments while maintaining comfort and dignity.
• Assists patients in and out of wheelchairs, stretchers, or beds with proper technique.
• Coordinates with nursing staff and providers to prioritize transport needs.
• Maintains clean and sanitized transport equipment per infection control protocols.
• Follows safety guidelines and reports concerns promptly.
• Moves equipment, supplies, and documents to support patient care.
• Provides patient and family reassurance and excellent customer service.
• Documents transport activities in logs or electronic systems.
• Performs other duties and maintains reliable attendance.
• Adheres to all policies and standards.
