Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent Required
• DL NUMBER - Driver License, Valid and in State maintenance of a driving record sufficient to maintain insurance coverage under the University of South Alabama commercial auto insurance policy Required
• BCLS - Basic Life Support within 30 Days Required
• Comparable combination of education and experience may substitute for the above requirements.

Responsibilities

• Transport patients safely using wheelchairs, stretchers, beds and other equipment.
• Verify patient identity before transport and prioritize requests per procedures.
• Communicate with nursing and receiving departments about arrival and delays.
